I have been wanting to go to Nashville for a while now and finally had the chance to go during MDW! It is such a cute city — and Instagrammable 😉
So here is a recap of the trip ––
First off I am obsessed with Reese Witherspoon – who isn’t? One of my main reasons for wanting to go to Nashville was so I could go to Draper James! It was everything I imagined. As soon as you walk in they offer you an iced sweet tea and are so helpful to their customers! Everything in the store is so southern and chic. From the apparel to the accessories and home accents. And the dressing rooms are so spacious and make you feel like you’re getting dressed in the comfort of your home.
I was able to purchase this Belted Magnolia Shirtdress that I think is perfect for summer, fall, and spring! My next item was this Chambray Ruffle Skirt because what girl doesn’t have a denim skirt hanging in their closet? It is such a staple and I think the ruffle gives it a classic-southern charm feel. If I could buy everything in the store I would have. When you checkout you get this cute blue and white Draper James bag with their logo on it. The three mornings I was in Nashville I went to Portland Brew (ikr?) for an iced coffee – a damn good iced coffee I might add. Portland Brew is right on 12th St. near Draper James and other shops and restaurants. One night for dinner we couldn’t decide what we wanted so we drove around until we found a place and that’s how we ended up at the flipsside.
The flipside features retro-chic diner stylings with cherry red fridges and ’50s TV memorabilia, as well as a variety of eats from world famous “Jack’s Best Chicken” (chicken breast pounded thin with seasoned bread crumbs and pan sautéed in extra virgin olive oil) topped 21 different ways!
I had the Memphis –– bbq sauce, bacon, cheddar, and pickle. It was SO good.
Overall it was a great visit! I hope to go back again someday!
What is your favorite southern city?
