Hello from Florida! This week I am in Orlando for the Little People of America National conference. Which means every day this week I woke up (go downstairs and grab a coffee because #priorities) and makeup 😉 So, I am by no means a makeup guru but I do enjoy watching Jaclyn Hill, spending long walks down the makeup isles at Walgreens and Target and receiving my monthly ipsy subscription.
In this post, I thought I would share the top 11 beauty products that I use the most during the summer. ☀️
- Neutrogena Age Shield face oil-free lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 110
I always start with sunscreen, no matter what. With having fair skin and skin cancer running in my family, SPF is the most important feature in my makeup.
- Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Foundation
I’m not one for full coverage or heavy foundation. I like using the Revlon Youth FX because A.) it has SPF B.) it gives me the sheer coverage I like and it’s easy to build up if needed.
- tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer
It took me awhile to get used to this concealer. EVERYONE and their momma rave about this. I have learned that a little goes a longgg way with this. For me, I have to apply with either a damp beauty sponge or dab it in quickly with my fingertips as soon as I’ve applied it. It’s not something I wear every day but when I want to brighten up my face and have more of a full coverage I’ll apply it.
- NYX Professional Makeup #NOFILTER Finishing Powder
Not pictured above because I left it sitting on my counter at home 🙄😩 I sometimes forgo using foundation and concealer and go straight into my face powder after applying my sunscreen. What I have been using this week since I left this at home is my moms Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Loose Powder.
- Sugar Cosmetics Arch Arrival Definer
I received this product in one of my ipsy glam bags that I receive every month. I was not blessed with the great brow gene like my sister (#thxdad) so I am always up to trying brow defining products and this one is a current fav!
- LUNA by Luna highlighter
This highlighter is another product I have received from a previous ipsy bag. I use this all throughout summer on the high of my cheekbones, brow bone, and the inner corner of my eyes. It gives me a nice pinky-summer glow ☺️
- wet n wild MegaSlim Skinny Tip Eyeliner
Eyeliner has been one of my staples since middle school *flashback to the myspace emo days* but as I have gotten older and more experienced with my makeup I find that less is more when it comes to eyeliner. I don’t wear it every day and when I do I give my self a little wing on the edge. If I want to go for a more edgy look I’ll apply to all along the top of my lash line.
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This is the mascara that I am using currently. It was just a quick pickup while shopping and I knew I needed a waterproof mascara for the summer. My usual go-to is the L’ORÉAL Million Lashes but the store I went to didn’t have it. The Lash Sensational has been great to use and gives the fanning effect that I like but I think my next purchase will be the waterproof L’ORÉAL Million Lashes.
- Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush
I’m a sucker for blush! I love adding a tint to my cheeks. This Instant Cheek Flush not only gives me a peachy glow but it also has a bit of a dewy finish which I love!!
- Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub
My lips get dry in the summer so before I apply any lipstick or lipgloss I’ll apply this sugar scrub. Usually, I apply this first before starting my makeup and rub it between my lips while getting ready and when it’s time to apply my lip product my lips are conditioned and have a smooth surface.
- Revlon Kiss Balm Ultra Hydrating Lip Care
This Kiss Balm gives the perfect tint to my lips, has SPF and smells like strawberries! 🍓
